Checkering considerably worn, especially on forend. Stocks retain most of what appears to be their original finish. Action & locks retain a considerable amount, perhaps as much as 30% of original case hardened color, but quite dirty & need cleaning. retaining most of what appears to their original brown w/ fair definition to pattern. MEASUREMENTS: BARRELS: BORE DIAMETER: Right. Matching splinter forend w/ inlet ebony tip has J spring release. Capped long pistol grip buttstock of well figured European? walnut measures 13 5/8" over serrated hard rubber buttplate. Trigger guard w/ scroll on bow has S# on tang. "L.C.SMITH" is at the front of each lock plate. Case hardened top lever action has all correct marks on water table & features usual LC Smith rotary bolt locking system & 3 screw bar locks w/ tall hammers. are fitted w/ early style extractor system. w/ concave matted rib have LC Smith Syracuse, NY markings on tops.
